CA-IDMS data with Internet/Intranet or client-server solutions or for data exchange. It is even possible to use the traditional communication ways like 3270 terminal emulations, TELNET as well as APPC

tcACCESS contains a SQL Interpreter Program on the mainframe which makes it possible to address
CA-IDMS data by using standard SQL commands. Thus, it is possible to use the ODBC or JDBC interfaces for

processing.

CA-IDMS data a tcACCESS JDBC Driver/Server is provided. The combination consisting of the JDBC interface on a PC based data/application server and the tcACCESS SQL interpreter program for
CA-IDMS data access on the IBM mainframe makes it extremely easy to realize solutions with cross-platform data usage
requirements.

Automated bi-directonal data exchange procedures can be implemented very easily due to the provided tcACCESS scheduling functions. All data movements are documented. Therefore, tcACCESS supplies various log and protocol
functions.

The tcACCESS API and Stored Procedure support facilities allow to use already exiting host logic to retrieve data from an
CA-IDMS/DB database or to perform various database updates which may be initiated by a PC or a web application.
